What materials are available to print on?
TESLIN® is the go-to material of choice by Vanguard. It’s durable, secure, highly printable, and 10-times stronger than other synthetic materials, maximizing the lifespan of your cards. PVC and paper are also available.
How do
I know which technology is best for my cards?
Our dedicated team will help guide you through the entire process, assisting you in selecting the most suitable technology solutions tailored to your specific requirements and preferences, including RFID, barcode, magnetic stripe, and/or QR code.
What type of artwork file do you need?
Preferred Programs and Formats
We use the Adobe Suite of programs to assemble our files for production.
Image Resolution
300 dpi at 100% size minimum
Fonts
Supply with artwork. If possible, convert type to outlines (Illustrator, etc.).
Finished Size
We offer a variety of shapes and sizes. Our basic card and key tag sizes are:
- Card: 2-1/8” x 3-3/8”
- Key Tag: 1-1/8” x 2-5/8” OR x 2-1/8”
Do not run text or critical artwork to the die cut edge.
Bleeds
Bleeds are necessary. Please make sure that your artwork extends at least ¼” past the die cut edge.
Reverse Lettering
All reverse art including line type must be large enough to prevent fill-in on press. Reverse type should be in a Sans Serif font (e.g. Helvetica, Avant Garde, etc.)
Colors
Printing is in either a 4-color process (CMYK) or spot color (Pantone) format. Spot colors should be indicated using the Pantone Matching System.
FTP
If you are not able to use our form, we can provide FTP information to transfer files to our servers.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders up to 10,000 are typically shipped 7-10 business days upon approving your eProof using standard UPS based on your shipping location. For quantities over 10,000, please speak to your Vanguard sales consultant. In case you need your cards urgently, we do provide rush printing and expedited shipping options.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Vanguard ID Systems accepts all payment methods—check, electronic bank transfer, major credit card (Visa, AMEX, Mastercard, Discover), and PayPal. All orders paid by check must be prepaid before production of your cards are started. We also offer Net 30 payment options with credit approval.
What is the advantage of custom RFID cards over magstripe cards?
RFID cards offer an enhanced level of security compared to traditional magstripe cards. They are much harder to duplicate than magnetic stripe cards, ensuring maximum privacy and protection.
What information should I have on a custom gift card?
On the back of a gift card, we recommend putting your address, email, website, or other contact information.
Does Vanguard ID Systems offer gift card holders?
Absolutely! We have a wide range of options for gift card holders and envelopes. You can choose from our generic designs or we can create custom ones specifically tailored to complement your gift cards and represent your brand perfectly.
